Cosmic Butterfly

It looks like a butterfly got lost in a jewelry box...
And in trying to escape, he scattered pearls, buttons, and spiral stars everywhere.
A flap of wings? Perhaps.
Or the discreet explosion of a galaxy in an evening dress.
Here, black is not night but velvet.
Gold is not luxury, but sparkling laughter.
And the curves? Ah, the curves! The arabesques look like they took samba lessons.
Caroline does not paint a butterfly.
She paints what the butterfly dreams of being when it closes its eyes:
a blue polka dot firework,
a psychedelic talisman,
a mandala that has looked too much at Christmas windows.
And we, with round eyes, follow the lines, we turn with the spirals,
and without understanding why,
we feel a little lighter.
